It is just disgusting when people believe that they lead the most different, unique lives when the reality of the situation is that they have the most typical teenage lives possible. I suppose its just a phase.

Ok, seeing some of the other teenagers on here, as well as some of the adults, has really made me sick, so I'll add my 2 cents here as well...
First of all, yes they may think they add somewhat unique lives, but you shouldn't just spit in their face for that. However, the sad truth is there probably is someone out there who lives a life almost exactly like yours.
Hell, I believe this and I'm a homeschooled Christian metalhead, yet I'm sure there's someone out there who's in the same boat with just about every little detail, though many homeschoolers I've seen would go "Oh my goodness, metal? MOMMY HE WORSHIPS SATAN" and metalheads who would snicker at my believing in God, though I'm not here to talk about religion.
Also, I pity anyone who honestly thinks that simply being cool in highschool is gonna prepare you for life. And if you've ever made fun of someone in school for being different while you're in the "in" crowd, you have no idea what you're doing. I'm friends with a girl who used to be suicidal ALL the time and used to call me in tears every two or three days about something or another that I would help her through, and I also learned that she was friends with a high school kid who shot himself to death in his car in the parking lot. All of that crap isn't justified no matter what you may think, no matter which side you're on.
Stereotypes, ug. I pity them as much as I do the "in" crowd.
Anyways, be yourself, it pays off.
Like I said, another teenager here to add his two cents.

im a teenager myself, and i don't concern myself with popularity or anything like that. i am who i am, i dress how i want. ive made true friends simply being myself. it really amazes me how the "in" crowd is usually the most hated group at school.

A perfect example, and completely true. I've been on both sides myself (when I WAS in public school) and let me tell you, that was one of the most boring, regretful weeks of my life...
